Our first stop in Thailand was Bangkok, since it's usually the cheapest airport to fly in to. I stayed at the NapPark Hostel, which is close to the Khao San Road! The staff is very friendly, everything is clean and the beds are comfortable. Since we arrived early in the morning, which was around around 3 AM in Germany, we all took a nap and decided to meet up later at the Khao San Road, to explore a bit.
Besides a lot of offers to go watch the ping pong show you can also find a lot of cool bars with live music. And looooots of food! That's why I think it's very convenient to stay close to the Khao San Road, because you'll always find a cheap food stall at any time! The day after our arrival we hired a Tuk-Tuk Driver, if you'll find one of the government Tuk Tuks you pay 30 Baht for 3 h to visit all the sights in Bangkok. We went to the Wat Saket and the Wat Indrawihan.
Another day we walked from Khao San Road to the Grand Palace and on our way their we passed some other sights. That's what I like about walking, you see way more than if you would drive there. But the downside of this was that we got a little bit dizzy on our way there and it took us forever to enter the Grand Palace, because it's just so huge and we walked around the whole complex to find the entrance. So we decided against entering the Palace itself and just took a look from it from the "outside".
